Rumours about the silver screen actress Deepika Padukone being the new face of L’Oréal Paris came forth shortly after the cosmetic brand shared a picture on social media with a caption saying ‘Guess Who’s Going to Paris?’. In no time, people recognised the international actress, despite her face being hidden.
Bollywood and Hollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was last seen in her Hollywood debut xXx: The Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel, was officially announced as the newly appointed global ambassador of beauty brand L’Oréal Paris recently and the actress will represent the brand at the Cannes Film Festival this year. After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Freida Pinto, Deepika is the fifth Indian celebrity to represent the French cosmetic brand.
According to the officials at L’Oréal Paris, Deepika’s beauty, confidence and grace coupled with her intelligence and sensitivity, are the reasons why she has been roped in to endorse the brand.
“I have always believed that feeling beautiful begins with feeling confident about yourself and L’Oréal Paris with its powerful message ‘Because we’re worth it’, has always encouraged women to do that,” said Deepika.
Parallel to her profession as an actor, the actress is also expressive about issues close to her heart and founded ‘The Live, Love, Laugh Foundation’, to create awareness about mental health issues in India.
