Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor go Befikre with Lido de Paris and Bateaux Parisiens

As people in India and France eagerly await the release of upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Befikre’, entirely shot in France, on December 9, actors Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor along with the Lido dancers shared their shooting experiences in Lido de Paris, Bateaux Parisiens, Champs Elysées and the rest of France in an exclusive interview with MIG and Asiacom for the Sodexo Group.

To celebrate the carefree spirit of upcoming Bollywood film Befikre, actors Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor recently shook a leg with the Lido dancers and shared their shooting experiences.

From its shooting to the monumental trailer launch at the Eiffel Tower, Befikre is entirely indulged in the Parisian spirit. The joyous love story of two people – Dharam (Ranveer Singh) and Shyra (Vaani Kapoor), was shot for about 55 days entirely in France: in Paris, notably in the famous cabaret Lido de Paris; in Picardy region, north of the French capital and in Cannes, on the French Riviera.

“The very first thing our director did was to take us to the Lido show. He told us that this has to be the first thing to see when you come to Paris. And, it was one of the most incredible live performances I have ever seen,” said Ranveer Singh, during the interview.

Established on the famous Champs Elysées, known as the most beautiful avenue in the world,  almost 70 years ago, the Lido de Paris, the most reputed Parisian cabaret has been glittering since then, with the beauty of the dancers, radiant costumes and elegant attractions, which is presented gloriously in the film. The cabaret is a unique tribute to the elegance and treasures of Paris, but also has many similarities to the Indian culture and Bollywood dancing.

Bateaux Parisiens cruises, is another experience “you cannot miss when you are in Paris” said Vaani Kapoor, who plays the role of a tourist guide in the movie. She notably talked about her personal experience when she discovered all the famous monuments of the city from the boat with a totally different angle and a touch of romance created by the Seine river.

Talking about their favourite scenes, the actors pointed out that they loved shooting in the flea market of Paris. “The kind of stuff which was there, it was so fascinating. Every place we shot at, with each single day, I fell in love with Paris,” said Ranveer.
