How important is the international market for your company?

We work within the International Market extensively and it is very important for us to be recognised in each and every country.

In which countries/regions have you been active and what have the results been so far?

We have worked in over 100 countries and have active exclusive representatives in each of them and have done well but feel that there is more options available in each and every one as the education sector is growing worldwide.

Have you had any exposure to India or presence in India? What has your experience been vis a vis India so far?

We have had a very good exposure in India and feel that this is like a sister country to us as the education in India is following the European structure and that we as a company can assist in this with our great range of products/experiments needed for the many laboratories to help the students get a feeling of their subjects they are studying with the hand on experiments we can supply.

If you have never had any relationship with India, would you be keen to consider entering this market?

Already have a good relationship with India and are adamant in growing this.

Do you know which of your product/services could be best placed/related to the requirements of the Indian market?

Our experiments are all hands on exposure with manuals written so each and every student can easily understand and follow to get the results needed to fully understand the theory they have been studying.

What are the USPs about your company/institution which put you ahead of your rivals from around the world?

Over more than 160 years we have grown in our scope of supply of equipment by inventing equipment to meet the educations sectors needs and of recent through acquisition of Feedback Instruments Ltd based in Crowborough, UK and ElweTechnik in Germany.

With the Feedback and Elwe we have been able to expand our ranges in Electrical Machines, Control Engineering and Telecommunications along with our equipment in these ranges alongside our Science based equipment to allow us to provide a full solution to laboratories to meet with their needs to cover each year of learning.

Our main USP is to implement real items and instruments in a learning set up. So training and real world are meeting in the best way to provide the biggest learning effect to the student.

What are your expectations from the Indian market? Which format of relation with India would be the best suited for you – invest in setting up a unit/subsidiary or joint venture in India, finding a franchisee in India, transfer of know-how or simply sell services/ products technology to India?

We are expecting great things from the Indian market especially in Education just as Prime Minister Modi has stated in the past the Education is a must in India and that all children should get an education and have the options available to them to receive this.

With this in mind we feel that our ranges of equipment will help meet these needs in India with the help of representative based here in India with offices in New Delhi, Cochin and Guwahati

And what would you expect as a takeaway from the IISDS?

We hope to grow our relationship with the Indian people making it more solid and find ways of moving forward together to reach the goals of the of the Indian people in furthering the educational needs of the country.
