MIG interviewed Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, at ITB Berlin tourism fair last March. He explained how 2016 has been a good year in terms of tourism activity for Nepal. The beautiful Himalayan country has recovered from the 2015 earthquake and wants professionals to pass on this message to their clients. Tourists are back there to enjoy the unique hospitality, pristine nature and mountains, but also the cultural and religious richness. Nepal is sometimes called the Tourism capital of South Asia, as it is a good starting point for tourists. More and more Europeans, mainly from Germany, France, Italy or Britain, but also now from Poland or Spain, enjoy Nepal’s Eco tourism and sustainable tourism approach.
