Janpath is a market that is well and truly Indian in its style and offerings. One can visit the market and discover its colours, varieties and, above all, life. Janpath, that literary means ‘people’s path’/‘commoners’ road’, is one of the oldest markets in New Delhi. Started in 1950, the market turned to a crowd favourite among both Indian and foreign shoppers. Media India Group visited the market and talked to some of the foreign tourists to get the insights of their experiences in this famous market situated at the very heart of the city.

Many a times Bollywood celebrities and various foreign dignitaries are found shopping at this market, initially known as Queen’s Way. With a wide variety of reasonably-priced products, this market hasn’t lost its charm and remains one of the most popular markets in the Indian capital.
