Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, or Vishal- Shekhar as they are known, are a well acclaimed music directing duo, with several Bollywood- Mumbai based film industry, songs to their credit. They collaborated with UK based boys’ band, The Vamps for their latest single titled ‘Beliya’.

The pop rock band which consists of lead vocalist Bradley Simpson, lead guitarist James McVey, bass guitarist Connor Ball and Tristan Evans on the drums and rose to fame in late 2012 with cover songs and now their collaboration with Indian artists is bringing them in news.

The single ‘Beliya’, recorded with India duo Vishal- Shekhar, which launched on August 16, has been receiving much appreciation and many views on Youtube.

‘Beliya’, a fusion song consisting of elements from Bollywood and Pop-genre, is a celebration of two cultures, of which its lyrics are a clear representation.

Vocals to the song have been given by The Vamps, who have sung the lead in English, while Vishal-Shekhar contributed to the chorus in Hindi.

The song has been getting praises from celebrities and masses alike.

“#Beliya is such a beautiful song!!! LOVED IT @VishalDadlani @ShekharRavjiani,” tweeted Sunidhi Chauhan, a renowned Bollywood singer.

“This is amazing!!! #Beliya by @VishalDadlani and @ShekharRavjiani featuring the #vamps,” tweeted Karan Johar, a prominent Indian filmmaker.

“We are very happy that ‘Beliya’ is out and everyone can now hear what we created in London. It has been a lot of fun working with Vishal and Shekhar, who have taken us under their wings and are planning to take us to some of the best spots in Mumbai. We can’t wait!”, the band told India media.

“#Beliya got 1 million streams! A big thanks to @Hungama_com! Love you #India you are incredible!,” the band tweeted. ‘Hungama’ is a popular India based platform across which the song is available.

The Vamps and Vishal- Shekhar recently performed their hit single and their other popular tracks for a packed audience in a Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai, a city in western Indian state of Maharashtra.

“It was super to work with The Vamps; they are extremely talented. We went in not really knowing each other, but in a few minutes of being there, they had taken the song that we had created for them, and added their own vibe to it,” shared Vishal and Shekhar.

Will.I.am and Coldplay with Indian actresses

This is not the first time that an Indian artists have worked with at an International platform.

In 2012, actress turned also singer Priyanka Chopra, debuted her international single, ‘In my city’, with American rapper Will.I.Am which brought her huge acclaim across borders. In 2013, she launched another single titled ‘Exotic’ featuring American rapper Pitbull.

More recently, in January 2016, British rock band, Coldplay’s video ‘Hymn for the weekend’ was released. The video which has been shot in the streets of India has a theme anchored to an Indian festival and features Indian actress Sonam Kapoor in a visual cameo.
