As leaders from around the developed and developing world gather
once more for the OECD Forum 2014, the situation in the world seems
to be better. There are several encouraging signs, not the least in the
US, where growth is expected to accelerate towards three per cent in
2014. Economic activity is also picking up in Europe, Japan and
China. While on to the road to recovery, an important, hard-learned lesson from
the crisis is the need to ensure that future growth delivers a resilient, inclusive and
greener future for all. And this can be only be achieved by promoting inclusive
growth, ensuring quality jobs and building trust.
