A foggy morning with feathered friends at Delhi’s Yamuna Ghat

Every year, between the months of November and February, millions of birds migrate to India from the cold climes of temperate and polar zones. Yamuna Ghat, near the iconic Red Fort of Delhi, receives hundreds of Siberian seagulls as its annual guests. For the photographers the place is a delight as the infamous pollution of the capital makes for a nice filter at any given time of the day. Be it a regular or a first time visitor at the sunrise or the sunset, Yamuna Ghat is a haven for bird watchers, photographers, locals, and sometimes even couples for photoshoots. Even though the sights and smells are rather contrasting and intriguing, visitors do come here to be one with the nature.
