World Day Against Child Labour: Child labour gains perished in pandemic

A report by International Labour Organisation and UNICEF says Covid-19 has seriously jeopardised global battle against child labour and number of 5-17 year olds at work could rise by as much as 30 pc to 206 million by end of next year. Various Indian NGOs say economic meltdown in the country has already led to a sharp spike in child labour cases.
