River Ganga or Ganges, considered to be the holiest Indian river, is a subject for a number of Hindu rituals. One such ritual that attracts numerous devotees, as well as tourists, is the Ganga Aarti. A 40-45 minutes long practice involves offering incense and light to the holy river and rotating the flame lamps in a rhythmic fashion. Visit during the evening for an overwhelming experience.
