Leading hospitality brand, Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of Le Meridien Dehradun Resort and Spa, set along the serene Nun River in the Doon Valley, marking its debut in Dehradun and strengthening its presence in North India’s leisure and gateway destinations.

Expanding its footprint in northern India, Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio, has opened Le Meridien Dehradun Resort and Spa, offering a serene riverside retreat in the foothills of the Himalayas and serving as a gateway to North India’s popular hill and spiritual destinations.

In a press statement, the hospitality firm says that Dehradun serves as a gateway to Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Haridwar, while also offering access to cultural landmarks, nature trails and riverfront experiences. The resort is located around 45 minutes from Jolly Grant Airport and 15 minutes from Dehradun Railway Station, making it well suited for both extended stays and onward journeys across North India.

It says rooted in mid-century modern design, the resort features a calm and purposeful aesthetic defined by natural tones, layered textures and curated art inspired by Uttarakhand’s landscape and culture. Architectural elements reinterpret the iconic arches of the Forest Research Institute through a contemporary lens. The property houses 103 rooms and suites overlooking the river or surrounding hills, each designed with a nature-inspired palette and modern amenities.

According to the statement, the culinary offering at Le Meridien Dehradun Resort and Spa focusses on flavour and the pleasure of gathering. Riviera Cafe, the all-day dining restaurant, presents global favourites alongside regional specialties inspired by the tastes of Uttarakhand.

Positioned as a destination for weddings, social events and corporate meetings, the resort features over 2230 sqm of flexible indoor and outdoor event spaces, including riverside lawns.
