Special Issue of Biz@India SIAL Paris 2026
As the global food industry gathers in Paris for SIAL 2026, one of the world’s leading food innovation exhibitions, about 148 food processing companies from India will represent the country’s immense diversity in agricultural products.
On the occasion, Media India Group is pleased to present its latest Special Issue of Biz@India, examining the challenges and opportunities facing India’s food processing industry as it seeks to move beyond the domestic market and compete globally.
Despite its large size, India’s food processing industry has considerable ground to cover in food safety, technology, product innovation and value addition. With new Free Trade Agreements opening the domestic market to greater international competition, Indian food producers must raise their ambitions and build products that can compete with global brands.
This issue examines gaps in food regulation and consumer protection, the growing demand for ready-to-eat foods, the sustainability challenges facing agriculture and the risks associated with nutrition apps, AI-driven dietary advice and the rising demand for protein-fortified products.
Through reports, interviews and analyses, the issue looks at how Indian food businesses can move up the value chain and tap into new global opportunities.
