Expanding its presence in Madhya Pradesh, IndiGo, which already serves Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur and Khajuraho in the state, has added Rewa as its sixth destination in the state. The new service is expected to provide first-time fliers across the Vindhya region with convenient air connectivity.

In a press statement, the airline says the Rewa-Indore route will reduce travel time from nearly 10 hours by road to just around 1.5 hours, operated on ATR aircraft. The service is aimed at supporting tourism, trade, healthcare and education in the region. Rewa also acts as a gateway to the rapidly growing districts of Satna, Sidhi and Singrauli, which are witnessing steady economic growth and rising infrastructure development.
