According to a recent study increasing number of travellers are turning to Instagram — not only to document their trips, but also in search of holiday inspiration, including what to do and where to stay.

Technology has a big role to play in deciding one’s travel destination, and more importantly if it’s social media. The trends for deciding a trip depends more on other people’s posts. Not to forget, the destination now is also decided based on which place will be more social media friendly. Travelling no longer depends on to rejuvenate oneself but also to give that perfect look to your instagram page.  The travel photographs that are shared by many not only have an impact on the planning stage of a trip, but the trip itself.

A recent research by Booking.com reveals that 63 pc of Indian travellers admit that staying in attractive properties that they can photograph and use on social media accounts is something they think about when choosing travel accommodation. Additionally, 66 pc of travellers are looking to stay in unique statement accommodations to help them seem like a trendsetter who’s different from the crowd.
