In a move to bolster international collaboration on skill development, NSDC International recently led a delegation to Germany, with the objective to strengthen cross-border partnerships. The visit focussed on building strategic ties to support skill development and mobility, amid shifting industry needs worldwide.
In a press statement, NSDC says that the delegation engaged with key stakeholders to discuss strategic collaborations for equipping workers with industry-relevant skills.
It adds that these discussions took place during high-level meetings and the OAV Conference in Hamburg, attended by over 100 participants from India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries.
The statement adds that at the conference, NSDC International emphasised the need to align training with the evolving requirements of global industries. During a panel discussion, representatives underlined the importance of bridging the gap between educational institutions and employers, highlighting Germany’s role in international workforce development.
It adds that the visit included two roundtable meetings. The first, hosted by iMove, brought together German training providers to explore collaborative models in language, cultural, and vocational training. The second involved German employers and focused on understanding skill gaps, recruitment practices, and integration strategies for foreign workers.
