Embraer achieves 88 pc growth in deliveries in Q2 2024

Embraer significantly boosted its deliveries in the quarter ending June 30, reaching 47 jets, an 88 pc increase from the previous quarter

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has reported delivery of  47 jets in second quarter of the current year, marking an 88 pc increase from Q1 2024. The jets delivered in the latest quarter include  27 executive jets, 19 commercial and 1 multi-mission C-390 Millennium in defence aircraft.

Sao Paolo based aviation giant Embraer says it significantly boosted its deliveries in the quarter ending June 30, reaching 47 jets, an 88 pc increase from the previous quarter. The aircraft delivered in the quarter include a diverse mix of executive, commercial, and defence aircraft, showcasing robust growth across its portfolio.

In a press statement, Embraer says that its order backlog reached USD 21.1 billion in Q2 2024, a 7-year high and a rise of over 20 pc annually.

It adds that revenues totalled USD 1,494 million in the period, a 67 pc increase quarter-over-quarter, with commercial aviation revenues surging by 176 pc and adjusted Earning Before Interest and Taxes reached USD 138.8 million with a 9.3 pc margin in Q2 2024, compared to USD 6.8 million and a 0.8 pc margin in the first quarter of the year.

Embraer says that current estimates remain valid, representing balanced opportunities and risks for the full year. The company expects commercial aviation deliveries of 72 to 80 aircraft and executive aviation deliveries of 125 to 135. Total revenues are projected in the USD 6.0-6.4 billion range, with an adjusted EBIT margin between 6.5 pc and 7.5 pc, and Adjusted free cash flow of USD 220 million or higher.
