To move towards full ownership, defence and aerospace company Thales has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to acquire RTX’s share in Thales Raytheon Systems Air and Missile Defence Command and Control SAS (TRS AMDC2), a joint venture in France equally held by affiliates of both firms.

In a press statement, Thales says that the proposed acquisition is currently under consultation with employee representative bodies and regulatory approvals, including antitrust clearance.

It adds that the agreement marks a step toward full ownership of TRS AMDC2, which has for over two decades supported NATO member nations and command structures through the development of NATO’s Air Command and Control System (ACCS).

The French company says that the transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
