Tamil Nadu Tourism showcased the state’s heritage, culture, cuisine, wellness, wildlife and emerging tourism experiences at IFTM Top Resa in Paris, with a focus on strengthening engagement with the French and wider international travel markets.

The Department of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu showcased the state at IFTM Top Resa 2026, an annual B2B international travel and tourism trade show held in France, highlighting its diverse tourism offerings and opportunities for international partnerships.

In a press statement, the Tourism Department says the state’s participation, led by S Rajeshkumar, Minister for Tourism, Government Of Tamil Nadu, brought together senior Tourism Department officials, tourism industry representatives, tour operators, hoteliers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and other stakeholders, strengthening engagement with the international travel trade through B2B interactions, destination promotion, itinerary development and discussions on future collaboration.

The state also highlighted culinary experiences including Chennai and Madurai food trails, Chettinad and Kongu Nadu cuisine, temple food traditions and coastal seafood. Premium experiences such as heritage stays, private cultural encounters, curated dining, wellness retreats and personalised itineraries were also presented, along with boutique and heritage accommodation.

According to the press statement, responsible and community-based tourism was another focus at the event, with rural and agri-tourism, local food, handloom and handicrafts, ecotourism and wildlife experiences promoted for the French and European markets. Festival and cultural experiences, family- and senior-friendly itineraries and year-round travel opportunities were also highlighted.

The state promoted the Discover Tamil Nadu-International Edition 2026–27 Fam initiative for travel professionals and international storytellers through its dedicated platform. The participation also provided an opportunity to promote tourism products planned for 2027–28, including heritage and architecture circuits, culinary tourism, ecotourism and wildlife, adventure and water-based experiences, wellness and slow travel, rural and agri-tourism, astro tourism, boutique accommodation, and food and handicraft experiences.
