Air France is offering first-class comforts to its passengers on the Bengaluru-Paris route this winter with its La Premiere service that comes with gourmet meals, flat beds and other conveniences.

Now passengers flying on Bangalore-Paris route can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing journey with Air France’s La Premiere – an exclusive and personalised first class service. As an ongoing effort to raise the standards in luxury travel, the new first class service will be served during the coming winter schedule on the airline’s Bengaluru-Paris-Bengaluru route, operated by Boeing 777-200. Starting from October 2014, the service will be available until March 2015.

In addition, with the help of the revised flight timings, Air France brings the west coast closer to Bengaluru that means customers can now enjoy the shortest flying hours to return home for travel from San Francisco to Bengaluru. Enjoy the privacy and comfort

The first class journey begins on arrival at the airport, where passengers are personally received and accompanied by an Air France staff member throughout the trip even during connections for an unperturbed journey. The on board experience begins with a warm welcome to the elegantly designed seats in subdued hues of pastel shades. Once you arrive on board, you are personally introduced to the crew. Next, you will discover the La Première cabin, composed of 4 to 9 gently curved seats, or ‘suits’ as the airline calls them. This is a perfect amalgamation of style and privacy! Focusing on the comfort of each passenger, the four first class seats convert to a full bed with complete privacy for an exceptional travel experience.

Elegant extras

For unrivalled comfort, the airline provides you with a personalised coat service and a full range of accessories: lounge wear, slippers and a dust bag for shoes. You also receive a travel kit complete with a selection of Biologique Recherche facial and body care products to moisturize and refresh your skin. A 10.4-inch interactive video screen can also be provided on-demand. Other amenities include a power outlet and reading lamp. The seat’s massage feature and ambient lighting provide exceptional comfort. Gastronomic delight

The passengers are given a gastronomic experience designed by Michelin starred French chefs – Joël Robuchon, Régis Marcon, Guy Martin, Anne-Sophie Pic and Michel Roth.

As a La Première guest, one can also try new flavours by choosing meal in advance. From Asian inspirations to fresh seafood, “A la Carte” meals enable the passenger to enjoy a unique culinary experience on every trip. To complete your meal, you also receive the appetizer, cheese selection and dessert from the daily menu.

All items will be designed by the masters in the art of dining à la française (French style). Enjoy an excellent meal served at your convenience presented on a white tablecloth and table set designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, including a Bernardaud porcelain plate and bevelled Christofle glasses and flatware.

Relaxing stay at airport lounge

Passengers with connecting flights at Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport can enjoy a relaxing break at the La Premiere lounge and savour some of the best wines and cuisine selected especially for Air France by chef Alain Ducasse. The airport lounge is designed to provide independent and personal spaces, a luxurious bar, a spa and a library stocked with wide selection of books and magazines.

Get ready to experience luxury travel

Customers can choose to book tickets online at Air France’s website, which costs around INR 298,000 (one way, all inclusive) and the Flying Blue members can enjoy an advantage of earning 200 per cent extra award miles when flying in first class. From India, Air France flies daily from Delhi and Mumbai and six times a week from Bengaluru to Paris. KLM offers 14 weekly flights from India including a daily flight each from New Delhi and Mumbai to Amsterdam. From Mumbai, the flights are code-shared with Delta Airlines.

Air France launched the cabin in Shanghai – an indication of the strong Chinese demand for first class, which is prompting several other carriers to upgrade their luxury offerings. In May 2014, it announced to bring this luxury service in Indian skies and now it is available to give you a complete luxury experience, currently from Bengaluru but soon it will expand to other cities too.
