Air India to boost frequencies to Kolkata for Durga Puja

Air India will operate daily, non-stop flights from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Kolkata for nearly a month starting from September 20

Air India has announced that it will temporarily add flights to Kolkata from four Indian cities to accommodate increased travel demand during the upcoming Durga Puja festivities.

In response to the increased demand for travel during the upcoming Durga Puja, Air India, part of Tata Group, has announced the temporary addition of flights to Kolkata from four major Indian cities.

In a press statement, Air India says that it has already added a daily flight between Delhi and Kolkata, with effect from August 15 and which will continue until October 26. The Red Eye flight leaves Delhi at 0220, reaching Kolkata at 0435 daily. With these changes, Air India now operates 35 weekly flights on the Delhi-Kolkata route.

The airline says it will operate daily, non-stop flights from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Kolkata for nearly a month starting from September 20 and that will continue until October 26. The special flight from Mumbai to Kolkata and vice versa will begin on September 25 and continue until October 26, it adds.

The airline says that the added flights will operate at convenient times, offering more options for travellers visiting loved ones during the festive season. These flights are also timed to ensure seamless connections through its Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru hubs to destinations in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and various countries in Europe and Southeast Asia.
