Fareportal installed a solar power plant at Anandashram, a home for 40 orphans near Gurgaon

Travel technology company Fareportal recently inaugurated a 20kVA, 3-phase solar power plant at spiritual retreat Anandashram, a Mother Teresa home for 40 physically and mentally challenged male orphans, near Gurgaon’s Bandhwari village.

In a press statement, Fareportal says that this is a significant step towards eco-friendly energy solutions that underscores Fareportal’s sustainability goals. Fareportal’s Global Vice President Technology, Nikunj Dhawan was present at the event alongside other esteemed dignitaries.

The statement says that in addition to funding the solar power plant, Fareportal also managed its design and installation, aligning with the company’s ESG commitment, referring to the environment, social responsibility and corporate governance of the company.

In the press statement, Fareportal says that it also supports facility maintenance at Anandashram.  “At Fareportal, we believe environmentally conscious infrastructure is a fundamental pillar of progress. The solar plant was established at Anandashram to not only reduce operational costs and promote environmental sustainability but to also serve as a tangible example of clean energy adoption, inspiring the community and demonstrating Fareportal’s commitment to a greener future,” says Nikunj Dhawan.

“This is a positive step towards a world where compassion and sustainability merge, paving the way for a brighter future for our children and everyone else in the global community,” says Father Benedict, Regional Superior for the Missionaries of Charity organization in India and member of their governing body.

Fareportal says it continues to support active partnerships with NGOs like Nayi Disha, CanKids, and Lotus Petal Foundation, in line with Fareportal’s prioritisation of education, healthcare and sustainability.
