Online travel platform Agoda has revealed a list of budget-friendly destinations in India for the upcoming holiday season, with Varanasi emerging as the most affordable option in India. The city tops the list for those seeking cost-effective accommodation during Christmas and New Year’s Eve, offering an average room rate of just INR 4136 per night.
In its press statement, the digital travel platform explains that the ranking is based on the average room rates across the 10 most popular cities in each of the nine markets analysed.
As the ranking reflects averages, travellers may find even more affordable deals in Varanasi and other destinations listed on Agoda, making them perfect for budget-conscious holidaymakers looking to save on their year-end getaway.
