Boutique hospitality group CGH Earth says its latest addition, Residence De L Eveche, has opened its doors inviting guests to immerse themselves in the charm of Pondicherry‘s French Quarter.

In a press statement, CGH Earth says that the historic landmark, dating back to the 1790s, promises a unique journey back in time to the bygone French era of the region.

The villa boasts a prime position surrounded by quiet lanes, charming boutiques, quirky stores, eclectic eateries, and popular tourist landmarks. This intimate and elegant 3-bedroom home is designed to provide a perfect serviced-villa experience for families and small groups of friends.

According to the statement, the villa’s pastel pink façade, complemented by a bright indigo door and surrounded by vibrant bougainvillea cascading the compound walls, captures the essence of old-world charm and French architectural influence.

It says that the whitewashed walls form a surreal backdrop to period furniture, combining with refurbished interiors that exude colonial grace. The living and dining areas boast a magnificent blue staircase ascending to other rooms. The two bedrooms feature private balconies, while another offers a quaint private terrace, all providing immersive views of the French Quarter, says the company. 

Adding a modern touch, guests can utilise the capsule lift installed within the house to access upper levels. The villa places a strong emphasis on culinary experiences, with a chef-on-call from CGH Earth’s kitchens ready to craft popular and regional delicacies from the distinctive Franco-Tamilian cuisine, personalized to suit guests’ preferences.

The statement adds that just a short distance from the villa’s charming street, the renowned Promenade Beach awaits, adorned with landmarks like the Sacred Heart Basilica, Old Lighthouse, and Aurobindo Ashram. The company says that the Residence de L’Eveche team can organize enriching heritage walks, offering deeper insights into the narratives woven into the French and Tamil Quarters.
