Moustache Escapes, a leading experiential travel company, says it is all geared up for its Forsyth Trail Run 2.0 to be held on January 21-22 in the forests of Madhya Pradesh. The company says that the run is a perfect opportunity for athletes as well as fitness fanatics to explore the incredible landscapes of Madhya Pradesh by enrolling themselves for this experience.

According to a press statement issued by Moustache Escapes, Forsyth Trail Run 2.0 has been classified into three stretches, including a 9 km Road Run, 24 km Forest trail and 6 km Uphill Forest trail.

The International Trail Running Association, or ITRA, the official global body that governs trail runs around the world, has certified Forsyth Trail Run 2.0. ITRA has also offered a minimum of 2 points and maximum of 3 points to be added to participants’ profile post completing the 42 km run.

This trail run shall begin with a 10 km road run from Matkuli village to archaeological site Satdhara, moving into a 24 km forest trail to Kanjighat and preceded by an uphill ghat pathway for 6 km until Pachmarhi Naka, which will finally culminate into a 3 km road run from the Naka to the finish line at Bison Lodge. The maximum elevation gain for this thrilling run is about 290 m, say the organisers.

“Following the success of the first marathon held earlier this year, we have curated its second edition for all adventure enthusiasts and with the uplifting of most covid protocols, we look forward to receiving maximum participants for the upcoming run,” says Deepak Agarwal, Director of Moustache Escapes.

The event has been organised in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Tourism.  “We are glad to collaborate with Moustache Escapes, that is bringing out the beauty of our state through the organisation of such trail runs. We wish to highlight the untapped magnificence present in different corners of Madhya Pradesh and anticipate the success of this marathon. At Moustache Escapes, we aim at curating innovative experiences for our patrons, and we will continue to do that,” says Yuvraj Padole, Deputy Director (Adventure, Film, Events & Marketing Tourism) of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.

The organisers say that registrations for the Forsyth Trail Run 2.0 are now open to all those thrill seekers that are keen on reconnecting with the wonders of nature while traversing through jungles, streams, tribal villages, and other confluences of rivers in the wilderness. The entry fee for the trail runs range from INR 1499 for 10 km to INR 2999 for the 42 km run. The organisers say that the costs of stay are not included in the entry fee, adding that triple share options for accommodation in tents are available for INR 1200 per person per night, while for cottage stay the charges are INR 4000 per person per night. The charges exclude taxes and the stays include breakfast and dinner.
