From techno to Punjabi: Fall 2024 music concerts in India unveiled
The upcoming months of 2024 are shaping up to be an exciting time for music enthusiasts, with a rich array of genres represented, including indie, folk, techno, jazz, Hindi and Punjabi music amongst others. These events will offer something for every musical taste.
India is about to set on a journey showcasing a diverse lineup bringing to limelight a plethora of local, home-grown bands and artists and international singers as well through concerts and music festivals.

Dil-Luminati India Tour
Indian fans have been eagerly anticipating Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati tour, and the excitement is reaching a fever pitch as the event approaches. Following a record-breaking run in Canada and the notable appearance of the Jimmy Fallon, the tour has generated immense buzz.
The pre-booking tickets for the concert vanished in just three minutes, and with a significant number of tickets already sold, it is clear that the level of anticipation and enthusiasm among fans is extraordinarily high.
The tour will commence on October 26, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, and will travel to 10 major cities across India including Pune, Kolkata and Bengaluru amongst others.
Ziro Music Festival
Set against the backdrop of stunning landscapes of the Ziro valley, Arunachal Pradesh, this festival provides music lovers a chance to sway to the tunes of talent from the Northeast India.
Founded in 2012, the four-day music festival has been known to feature some of the best musical talents of India and across the globe. This year’s line-up includes international acts like jazz musician Saskia Laroo from the Netherlands, Nepali singer Sushant KC, Singapore’s Amateur Takes Control along with Indian artists including Saniya MQ, a Mumbai-based rapper, Solace Her of Mani and ‘Big Dawgs’ hitmaker Hanumankind amongst others.
The festival is also celebrated for its sustainability initiatives with the infrastructure built entirely of locally sourced Bamboo, making it a one-of-its-kind event.

Sunburn
One of Asia’s biggest electronic dance music festivals, Sunburn attracts visitors from all over the world owing to its impressive line-ups of international and Indian DJs, and large-scale production. The festival is set against the vibrant and stunning coastal scenery of Goa.
Since its inception in 2019, the music festival has featured some of the most acclaimed international artists including Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Wiz Khalifa, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Swedish House Mafia.
Though the lineup and dates for this year’s Sunburn Music Festival are still to be announced, anticipation is already building up among music enthusiasts who are eagerly waiting to plan their December travel itineraries.

Jodhpur Riff
Ever since its inception in 2007, the Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival gathers artists and musicians from Indian and around the world in Mehrangarh Fort in the Blue City.
Every year the festival is timed to coincide with Sharad Purnima, a full moon night celebrated with the belief that rasalila, a circular dance, was performed by Lord Krishna and the gopis or milkmaids of Braj.
Over the course of four days, the festival presents a series of remarkable performances by traditional folk artists and international musicians. This year’s line-up is a magical blend between the tunes of Indian singer Sona Mohapatra and French musician Eric Mouquet. The festival will also showcase the talent of Rajasthani roots group ‘SAZ’.

K-wave Festival
A celebration of Korean culture’s influence in India, the K-wave festival is a celebration of K-pop, cuisine and trends and traditions. First held in 2023, the festival features exhilarating performances by K-pop and Indian artists, screenings of Korean dramas and films and different cultural exhibits.
This year the festival the line-up will feature K-Pop star Hyolyn, known for her hit tracks like Lonely or One way love, and actor and singer Suho’s first performances in India.
The festival also organises markets, cocktail bars and dessert stations at the venue. This year, the K-pop ideals are set perform in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Echoes of Earth
A one-of-a-kind music and lifestyle festival, Echoes of Earth is a two day long festival dabbling into multiple music genres. The event, known to be India’s greenest music festival also hosts a variety of activities and experiences such as art installations, presentations, workshops, and film screenings on diverse social and environmental themes.
The past five editions of the festival have seen musicians like Acid Pauli, Yussef Dayes, Klangphonics, Shigeto Ensemble, Square Pusher, and many more, this year international bands and artists including Anushka, All Yellow, Batavia Collection are set to perform.

Hornbill
A seven-day musical extravaganza set just 15 km away from Nagaland’s capital Kohima, the Hornbill Festival is one of the largest music festivals in India. The festival provides attendees a unique chance to immerse themselves into the tribal melodies, colours, traditions and folklore.
The festival includes events ranging from music to adventure to culinary, such as performances by Naga tribes, rock concerts, hikes through the Dzukou Valley, food festivals and even competitive eating events like Naga King Chilly and Pineapple Eating Competition.
Other activities include World War II Rally, International Loin Loom and Sport events such as International Hornbill Naga Wrestling.
