IHG to open first InterContinental in Hyderabad

IHG Hotels & Resorts and Brigade Group to bring the InterContinental brand to Hyderabad

IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Brigade Group to open a 300-room hotel, the first InterContinental property in Hyderabad.

IHG Hotels & Resorts, a leading global hospitality group, has joined hands with property development company Brigade Group to develop a 300-room InterContinental brand hotel in Hyderabad.

In a press statement, IHG says that the proposed hotel will be the first InterContinental property in Hyderabad and will be a part of Brigade’s mixed-use development project, expected to be operational by 2029.

This will be Brigade’s fourth hotel with IHG after Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway, Holiday Inn Bengaluru Racecourse and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bengaluru OMR.

The statement adds that InterContinental Hyderabad Neopolis will have five dining options, including a signature restaurant, two specialty restaurants, and a lobby lounge. The hotel is also proposed to offer conferencing facilities, a fitness centre, a spa, a swimming pool, an outdoor recreation area, and a retail outlet. To cater to MICE demands and large social gatherings, the hotel is proposed to feature eight meeting rooms including a spacious ballroom.

InterContinental has over 220 open hotels across more than 60 countries. In 2023, the brand reached a pipeline of 100 hotels and resorts for the first time, representing a substantial 45 pc growth of its current. system size.
