Leela Hotels expands partnership with Preferred Hotels as more properties join

Preferred Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its presence in one of the world’s fastest growing economies and a burgeoning leisure and business travel market

Celebrating 15th anniversary of its relationship with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the Leela Hotels group has expanded its relationship with the addition of three more group properties to the Preferred Hotels’ network. Moreover, two of its properties, at Udaipur and Bengaluru, will join Beyond Green, a sustainable hotels network within Preferred Hotels grouping.

Three more properties of Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, a group of luxury hotels in India, have joined the Preferred Hotels and Resorts network on the occasion of 15th anniversary of partnership between Preferred Hotels & Resorts and the Leela Hotels group.

In a joint press statement, the two companies say that they share a vision to provide unparalleled hospitality to the globally discerning traveller in some of the most alluring destinations around the world. The two also announced the expansion of their relationship with the inclusion of Leela Kovalam, Leela Ashtamudi and Leela Gandhinagar to the Preferred Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

The statement adds that this longstanding partnership is a testament to Preferred’s strength in executing innovative global strategies that cater to the individual needs of its member hotels to create mutually beneficial relationships. This synergetic alliance also supports the Leela’s ambitious yet strategic development plans and enables the luxury hotel brand to tap into the results-driven benefits of Preferred’s global infrastructure and distribution platform and network of sales professionals located in 35 offices worldwide.

The two also announced the further strengthening of their partnership with two Leela marquee palaces, Leela Palace Udaipur and Leela Palace Bengaluru, joining Beyond Green, Preferred Hotel’s global portfolio of the most sustainable hotels around the world. 

The statement adds that the environmental sensitivity, responsible consumption, and resource efficiency has helped steer Leela’s sustainability efforts.  The Leela Palace Bengaluru is now powered majorly by renewable energy with 90 pc of the Palace running on wind energy. The Leela Palace Udaipur recently received the SEEMS Platinum, National Energy Management Award and is the only hotel to ply EV boats on Lake Pichola in the City of Lakes of India.

According to the statement, the Leela continues to make significant investments to integrate sustainable practices and create positive value for each of its stakeholders, thereby contributing to building a circular economy and nurturing communities in locations where it operates.  While promoting conscious luxury and providing meaningful and immersive experiences, the hotel group says it remains true to its philosophy of “Atithi Devo Bhava’’ or Guest is God, placing the guest at the centre of everything it does.
