The new feature of AbhiBus allows travellers to easily identify and book the latest vehicles
AbhiBus, the bus ticketing arm of travel firm ixigo and a leading player in India’s online bus travel sector, has launched a first-of-its-kind ‘New Buses’ filter to improve transparency and comfort for millions of Indian commuters.
In a press statement, AbhiBus says that the new feature allows travellers to easily identify and book the latest vehicles, with the option to select between buses that are ‘Brand New’ for less than one year old vehicles and ‘New’ for buses less than two years old.
The statement adds that each eligible bus is visibly tagged in the search results, helping users spot fresher, likely better-maintained vehicles at a glance.
AbhiBus says that by introducing bus-age visibility, it aims to empower users to make smarter, more confident booking decisions.
“We are excited to introduce the ‘New Buses’ filter, a simple yet powerful tool that puts greater control in the hands of travellers. When it comes to bus travel, we believe that transparency is the first step toward building trust. Knowing in advance if a bus is new allows travellers to book with greater confidence, expecting better upkeep, cleaner interiors, enhanced comfort and reliable onboard amenities. This is a game changer for the bus travel industry, and every aspect of it has been thoughtfully designed with our customers’ needs in mind,” says Lenin Kodru, CEO, AbhiBus.
According to the statement, this update complements AbhiBus’s customer-centric features like ‘Abhi Assured’, which already offers up to a 150 pc refund for significant service disruptions, providing users complete peace of mind when journey plans go awry.
