The Pushkar fair or mela is an eight day long festival and the largest camel or livestock fair in the country, celebrated in the city of Pushkar in the northern state of Rajasthan. Tourists from across the globe flockc to this town and soak in the riot of vibrant colours and festivities that include folk music and dance, various exhibition and shows and parades of richly adorned camels and horses.
