Okhla Mandi vegetable sellers support protesting farmers
Spread out over a massive 10 acres, Okhla sabzi mandi (vegetable market) houses around 300 shops selling assorted fruits & vegetables. People eager to buy fresh green groceries at throwaway prices throng the mandi, which starts as early as 5 am in the morning & continues to buzz till late evening. Amid the farmers’ protest on the borders of the national capital Delhi, against the three farm bills, Media India Group talked to the vegetable sellers and traders about how it has impacted the mandi and about their opinions on the ongoing protests.
