With three days of tourism exhibitions, B2B meetings, business deals and a plethora of new destinations on platter to be explored, the 27th edition of SATTE, one of the leading travel shows of South Asia saw more than a thousand exhibitors and around 30,000 visitors from 50 countries and 28 Indian states networking for the upcoming travel season 2020. The participants included domestic as well as international exhibitors, including tourism boards, hotels, resorts, travel agents, and airlines along with various other tourism products and services from their destinations as well as lucrative offers on the floor of the India Expo Mart, a world-class convention venue in the NCR region. Many tourism boards displayed the colour of their tourism offering through cultural performances as well as attractive pavilions. Various parallel conferences and seminar sessions were also conducted to discuss the latest travel and tourism industry trends. With the recent collapse of a few giant players in the global tourism sector, it was interesting to see how the Indian travel business fraternity responded to the same. Despite some economic slowdown, the Indian travel market seems optimistic for the upcoming days.
