Sikh Guru Arjan Dev: Founder of Golden Temple

On May 30, 1606, Guru Arjan Dev, the 5th Sikh Guru who constructed the Golden Temple in Amritsar and writer of Sikh Holy scriptures, Adi Granth, attained martyrdom in River Ravi, where Gurudwara Dera Sahib (now in Pakistan) stands in his memory.
