After being wracked by the Covid-19 pandemic for two years, 2022 certainly brought better tidings for the world, or most of it. While work, travel and business began to pick up globally, a war in Europe brought the entire world to the brink again, with energy and food prices soaring in most nations. Climate change and political instability continued to make news, though sports, notably the FIFA Football World Cup, did bring some cheer to many.
