While Himachal Pradesh's popular tourist spots continue to draw large crowds, the state's offbeat destinations offer a chance to experience its untouched beauty and serene charm.

According to the Himachal Pradesh ‘Economic Survey’ report for FY 2024-25, the state received 18 million domestic tourists until December 2024, marking the second-highest tourist footfall in over a decade, after the record 19.09 million domestic visitors in 2017.

Among the districts, Kullu attracted the most tourists, followed by Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, and Mandi. The state also witnessed an increase in foreign visitors, with 83,000 international tourists arriving, the highest since 2020.

While the state’s popular hill stations like Shimla, the capital, remain a major draw for tourists, Himachal Pradesh also offers a wealth of offbeat destinations that provide a more authentic experience.

Shoja

Shoja, located in the serene Seraj Valley, is a peaceful village just 25 km from the town of Jibhi. This offbeat destination is renowned for its lush green surroundings, dense forests, and panoramic views of the Himalayan range.

Nahan
