Leading hospitality firm IHCL has signed a new an eco-sensitive wildlife retreat, under the Taj brand, in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the largest hospitality company in India, has announced the signing of a resort project in Sawai Madhopur district, Rajasthan, under its Taj brand.

This development is a greenfield project aimed at expanding IHCL’s presence in eco-sensitive areas.

“Having pioneered tourism in Rajasthan, IHCL has positioned the state on the global tourism map with its portfolio of landmark hotels showcasing the region’s cultural richness. The enhanced connectivity to Sawai Madhopur is opening up new avenues for hospitality, making it Ranthambore National Park increasingly accessible to discerning travellers. We are delighted to partner with Vanivinayak Hospitality for this exciting new venture,” says Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL.

In a press statement, IHCL says that the resort will comprise 75 keys, positioned to blend with the natural landscape of the region. Accommodation options will include suites and villas, each featuring private courtyards and plunge pools.

It adds that culinary facilities are planned to include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a safari lounge to cater to diverse guest preferences.

IHCL says that the resort will follow IHCL’s ESG+ framework called Paathya, incorporating sustainability measures such as solar-powered amenities, rainwater harvesting systems, and the use of locally sourced sustainable materials.
