India’s wellness industry has seen a new entrant as tulah, a clinical wellness sanctuary based at Kozhikode in Kerala, unveiled its flagship sanctuary in Kerala in an event held recently, positioning itself as a model that combines traditional Indian healing systems with clinical wellness practices.
In a press statement, tulah says that the three-day launch event, was organised under the theme From India to the World, which brought together business leaders, doctors, designers, philanthropists and cultural figures at the Kerala resort.
The statement adds that the unveiling comes at a time when India is increasingly promoting wellness tourism and traditional healing systems to international audiences.

The cultural performances during the gathering featured Kerala-based groups including Shanka Tribe, Bonny Abraham Ensemble and Jupiter Springs
tulah says that its approach is centred on integrative wellness, combining ancient Indian practices with modern clinical science and personalised care programmes.
Visitors attending the launch participated in curated wellness sessions, therapies and cultural experiences designed around the sanctuary’s philosophy of long-term wellbeing and restoration. The event also highlighted Indian craft, music and culinary traditions as part of the overall experience.

The Kerala sanctuary is expected to serve as the foundation for tulah’s wider expansion plans
It adds that one of the central attractions at the sanctuary is a 23-metre wellness-integrated waterfall installation developed in partnership with Greenara. The installation has been positioned as a symbolic entry point for guests arriving at the property.
The launch also included collaborations with Jaipur Rugs, which showcased live weaving traditions, Mauli Rituals, which created wellness rituals for guests, and Pepper House, which curated a retail experience focused on Indian craftsmanship, says the statement.
Speaking at the conclusion of the event, Faizal E Kottikollon, Co-Founder and Chairman, tulah, described the sanctuary as a space intended for restoration and reflection rather than a conventional hospitality destination.
Aditi Premji, Chairperson of the Wipro Foundation, who attended the gathering, said the experience demonstrated the value of combining traditional healing knowledge with modern science in a residential wellness environment.
The Kerala sanctuary is expected to serve as the foundation for tulah’s wider expansion plans. The company says future projects will include urban wellness hubs, integrative health programmes and at-home wellness services aimed at extending its model beyond destination retreats.
