A tea experience centre has opened in Lahowal, Dibrugarh, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about Assam’s tea industry through guided tastings, tea blending and exhibits on tea production.
In a press statement, Heritage Tea says that the Centre was inaugurated on Sunday with a high tea event, organised in collaboration with Tea Amo and Muffin Top Society by Hemi. Visitors sampled a range of Assam teas paired with locally prepared food, while tea experts conducted tasting and blending sessions.

The centre is open to tourists, tea enthusiasts, travel groups and corporate visitors. It is expected to support tea tourism in Dibrugarh by offering visitors an organised introduction to Assam’s tea culture and production.
Rajen Baruah, Founder, Master Blender and CEO of Assam Heritage Tea, said the centre was created to help people understand the story behind Assam tea.
“For over four decades, we have believed that Assam tea deserves to be experienced, not merely consumed. This centre is our tribute to that belief, a space where every cup tells the story of our soil, our hands, and our heritage,” says Baruah.
