Under a new contract signed by the two aviation majors, Europe’s Airbus will be providing spares and services to UTair India.

European aviation major Airbus has entered into a five year contract with helicopter service provider UTair India.

A leading aerospace manufacturer, Airbus will be providing services like maintenance, spares supply and operations training for the H125 helicopter fleet of UTair India.

UTair India is a subsidiary of UTair Aviation of Russia, a globally leading helicopter operator. The company has three H125 helicopters in its fleet in India, which will get services by Airbus.

“Airbus Helicopters is proud of its long-standing collaboration with UTair. We now have one-third of the single engine fleet in India covered under the programme. Our aim in the short term is to have most of the Indian fleet covered by the HCare Smart programme,” Indian press quotes Xavier Hay, president, Helicopters, Airbus in India.
The programme the companies have entered into will ensure maximum helicopter availability, besides providing the services.

“Airbus has been our enduring partner in India and we are proud to take this relationship forward with the signing of the HCare Smart contract. With an aim to improve the customer experience and meet the growing demand for helicopter services in India, we chose this programme that provides an unparalleled servicing experience,” UTair CEO, Anshul Bhatt, said.

“The HCare Smart contract with UTair India covers both scheduled and unscheduled events providing all necessary support to the operator to carry out its operations safely, efficiently and cost-effectively,” Airbus Helicopters said in a release.

“Airbus has been our enduring partner in India and we are proud to take this relationship forward with the signing of the HCare Smart contract. With an aim to improve the customer experience and meet the growing demand for helicopter services in India, we chose this programme that provides an unparallelled servicing experience,” Bhatt added.

Airbus’ HCare Smart contract with UTair India will provide necessary support for performing safe, efficient and cost effective operations at both scheduled and unscheduled events.

The support service, which is a 24×7 service under the HCare programme, includes material management, helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and upgrades, technical support, training and flight operations and connected services.

The programme is designed to help the operators reduce their operating cost and improve the availability of the helicopter, the release stated.
