Indian theme park operator to raise funds for expansion
Imagicaaworld Entertainment, a leading Indian amusement and water park operator, says it registered 35.97 pc year-on-year increase in net sales in the quarter ending December 2024, though its profit declined. However, the company also faced challenges, including declining profits and increased interest expenses.
Imagicaaworld Entertainme, an Indian amusement and water park operator, says its revenue for the nine-month period ending December 31, 2024, reached INR 3158.2 million, a 49 pc increase compared to the INR 2106.2 million in the same period in 2023.
In a press statement, the company says that its financial results for the third quarter and nine months ending December 31, 2024, demonstrate significant growth, adding that its revenue for the nine-month period reached INR 3158.2 million, a 49 pc increase compared to the previous year’s INR 2106.2 million.
The statement also noted a substantial 58 pc increase in Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA), reaching INR 1362.7 million, with an EBITDA margin of 43 pc.
The theme park operator adds that third-quarter revenue rose to INR 918.6 million, a 31 pc increase from INR 700.3 million in the same quarter of the previous year.

The press release also stated that EBITDA increased by 7.1 pc to INR 296.1 million, with an EBITDA margin of 32 pc, and Profit Before Tax (PBT) before exceptional items totaled INR 415 million, resulting in a 4.5 pc margin.
“We are pleased to report a steady performance for the quarter and nine months ended FY25. Despite macroeconomic uncertainties and subdued consumer spending, we continue to receive love from the guests because of the quality of experience we provide to our visitors,” says Jai Malpani, Managing Director, Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited.
Malpani emphasises that the board has sanctioned a fundraise of INR 3,450 million through a preferential issue to finance acquisitions and has approved the acquisition of a 6.65 MW solar power plant for INR 160 million.
