Sarovar Hotels opens another property in Srinagar

Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, owned by Groupe Du Louvre, has opened a new hotel in Srinagar called Sarovar Portico Srinagar

Paris-based Groupe Du Louvre’s Indian subsidiary Sarovar Hotels and Resorts has expanded its footprint in Srinagar with the opening of Sarovar Portico Srinagar, a business and leisure hotel.

Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, part of Paris headquartered Groupe Du Louvre, has announced the launch of a new property Sarovar Portico Srinagar, in the City of Lakes. According to a press statement, the hotel is conveniently situated at the New Airport Road in Srinagar, a short drive from the airport and close to Srinagar railway station also. It is also close one of the most sought-after tourist destinations, Dal lake. It is the second hotel of the group to mark its presence in Srinagar, reinstating the group’s growing presence in leisure destinations pan India.

The hotel says that designed with a contemporary approach, the hotel is characterised by 45 chic and well-appointed suites and rooms. With accommodations ranging from a small studio apartment to vast suites and connecting rooms, the hotel is ideally suited for business travellers, families on vacation, solitary travellers, and transitioning visitors to the city.

The statement goes on that the hotel’s dining options will feature Flavours, Sarovar’s signature all-day dining restaurant, The Deck, a rooftop multi-cuisine restaurant serving North border and Mediterranean cuisine, and a cosy Tea lounge. The hotel’s rooftop banquet hall has been architectured as an ideal venue for corporate meet-ups and social gatherings, says the statement.
