Daher, a French aircraft manufacturer, has renewed and expanded its logistics contract with Airbus Atlantic for the West Hub at Montoir-de-Bretagne, extending the partnership from 2026 to 2031 as aircraft production increases across Airbus programmes.
In a press statement, Daher says that under the agreement, it will manage a sharp rise in activity at the hub, with logistics volumes expected to triple and the on-site workforce set to grow from about 250 to 450 employees by mid-2027. The site serves as a convergence point for parts and materials flowing from multiple Airbus Atlantic facilities and suppliers.

Daher adds that it has supported logistics operations at Montoir-de-Bretagne since 2003 and became a Tier I partner in 2018. The new contract consolidates its role in handling inbound components and outbound deliveries to assembly lines as Airbus raises output.
The scope covers two functions. The first is hub management, including receipt, storage, inventory control and shipment of parts from production sites in Nantes and Saint-Nazaire, as well as from suppliers. Daily intake volumes are projected to increase threefold.
The second function is distribution to manufacturing lines. Components must be delivered on demand to avoid disruptions to assembly operations. The hub feeds production for major Airbus aircraft programmes assembled in Europe, says the statement.
To handle the expansion, Daher plans large-scale recruitment and training in the local area while reorganising logistics flows to integrate output from four Airbus Atlantic plants into the single hub.

The company will also deploy a digital control platform, the Hub Advanced Monitoring System, designed to track flows in real time and coordinate automated processes across the facility. Automation will extend to both inbound and outbound operations as Airbus Atlantic enlarges its automated warehouse capacity.

According to Daher, the contract reflects long-term cooperation with Airbus and adaptation to changes following the creation of Airbus Atlantic. The company said its teams have built operational knowledge at the site over two decades.
The expansion will make the West Hub one of the larger logistics operations in western France and a significant employer in the Montoir-de-Bretagne area. Daher said the site accounts for nearly one-tenth of revenue for its logistics division.
“We are proud to continue the support of Airbus Atlantic in this new strategic phase, with the latest contract a testament to the renewed confidence and recognition of our ability to adapt and reinvent ourselves. Daher is committed to meeting the challenges of this major transformation. Our teams, based on site for more than 20 years, have developed unique expertise while fostering Daher’s culture. This contract also marks an important milestone in the overall partnership between Daher and Airbus,” says Aymeric Daher, Deputy CEO, Daher Group.
