Pays de la Loire region in France has allocated USD 568,775 in funding to support the second phase of Daher’s Oddicea project, aimed at enhancing digitalisation and reducing emissions at the company’s Nantes facility.

Daher’s efforts to modernise its Nantes facility and cut emissions have received a significant boost, with the Pays de la Loire Region of France, pledging USD 568,775 for the second phase of the Oddicea project.

In a press statement, Daher says the funding, covering one-third of the project’s budget, supports the company’s push toward greater digitalisation and decarbonisation in line with regional industrial transformation goals.

It adds that the Oddicea 2 is builds on the progress made during Oddicea 1, which ran from 2018 to 2023 and transformed the Nantes plant from a robotic site into a connected factory.

The statement adds that the first phase delivered measurable improvements, including a 10 pc rise in productivity, monthly energy savings of USD 11,375 and a 10 pc cut in CO₂ emissions.

It adds that the initiative received the “Digital Revolution” award at the 2023 Future Enterprise Heroes Ceremony.

According to Daher, the new phase aims to further optimise energy use through real-time monitoring and reduce reliance on carbon-based energy sources. It also focuses on industrial data integration and advanced technology adoption to improve operational competitiveness.

It adds that Daher will continue collaborating with research and technology partners such as IRT Jules Verne and Astree Software. The company plans to apply the tools and methods developed under Oddicea 2 across its other French industrial sites.
