Embraer invites applications for scholarships for 33rd MSc in Aeronautical Engineering Programme
With a view to increase the interest in aeronautical studies, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has officially opened registration for the 33rd edition of its popular Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering Programme.
In a press statement, the Sao Paulo based company says that the programme, which aims to accelerate the careers of engineers interested in deepening their knowledge in the aerospace sector, is conducted in partnership with the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) in Brazil.
Embraer says that 45 vacancies are available for its 18-month programme, with registration open until September 22.
It adds that selected candidates will receive benefits including a monthly scholarship of BRL 5,000 (USD 900) increasing by 20 pc in the second year. The list of selected candidates for the programme will be announced in December and classes begin in February 2025.
The course is open to candidates who graduated in engineering in 2022 or 2023, or those who will graduate in 2024 in a variety of engineering studies such as aeronautical or aerospace, environmental, automotive, civil, computing, control and automation, electrical, electronics, energy, physics, manufacturing, maintenance modalities, materials, mechanics, mechatronics, metallurgy, mines, naval, nuclear, petroleum, production, chemistry, robotics, systems, software and telecommunications and transport. Applicants must also possess advanced proficiency in English, says Embraer.
Embraer says that the selection process is conducted remotely, candidates must be prepared to reside in São José dos Campos (SP), Brazil, where classes and activities are held in person at Embraer’s headquarters and ITA.
The statement adds that the training is delivered by Embraer professionals, ITA professors and industry consultants, and graduates will earn a professional master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, accredited by CAPES and the Ministry of Education of Brazil.
It adds that since the programmes’ inception in 2001, over 1,700 professionals have participated, with Embraer achieving an average recruitment rate of 96 pc for its graduates.
