After initiating the production of its first full-scale prototype and forging partnerships with multiple suppliers, Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, is ready to unveil its electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

In a press statement, Eve Air Mobility says its eVTOL cabin mock-up is set to make its inaugural appearance in Singapore as part of a global tour that commenced at the Farnborough Air Show in 2022.

The showcased mock-up highlights Eve’s human-centred design, emphasising a quiet, efficient, and sustainable zero-emission eVTOL, along with an exploration of its internal features. The vehicle design incorporates a conventional wing with eight rotors fixed around it, enabling vertical take-off and landing capabilities through a straightforward lift-plus-cruise design. It also offers an accessible seat configuration accommodating a pilot and four passengers.

The statement adds that visitors to Eve Air’s display will have the opportunity to engage in a virtual flight experience on its eVTOL aircraft using virtual reality technology. Requiring a special headset, this cutting-edge technology allows individuals to immerse themselves in a unique sense of reality, enabling interactive and sensory experiences that simulate what flying on the company’s eVTOL will entail.

“Eve comes to Singapore with tremendous momentum as we continue the development of our eVTOL, including progressing toward key programme milestones, The Asia-Pacific region is an important market for Eve Air Mobility and we are committed to the region as we continue to build diverse relationships and work with our customers and potential customers to bring a new mode of transportation to help ease traffic congestion,” says Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Air Mobility.
