Turkish Aerospace, Embraer sign MoU for industrial cooperation
Partnership to focus on E2 aircraft production & advanced R&D collaboration
Turkish Aerospace and Embraer signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at LAAD Defence & Security 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to explore industrial cooperation. The partnership focuses on E2 aircraft production opportunities and advancing research and development capabilities.
Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) and Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore potential industrial cooperation.
In a press statement, Embraer says that the agreement, announced during the LAAD Defence & Security 2025 event at Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, marks a milestone in the aerospace sector, fostering collaboration between Türkiye’s leading aerospace company and Brazil’s global aviation giant.
The statement adds that the partnership aims to leverage Turkish Aerospace’s expertise in manufacturing and assembling metallic and composite structures, final assembly of fuselages, components, test and production flights, and painting.
Embraer says that it is actively seeking new suppliers and partners worldwide to meet growing demand for its products and sees this collaboration as an opportunity to expand its global footprint.
The statement says that the MoU outlines discussions for a comprehensive industrial partnership involving research and development (R&D).
According to the press statement, Mustafa Gursoy, Executive VP of Turkish Aerospace, and Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO, Embraer, signed the agreement in the presence of high-ranking officials including Brazil’s Vice-President Geraldo Alckmin and Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Muhammet Kasım Gonullu.
