IATO hosts farewell luncheon for President Rajiv Mehra

The Indian Association for Tour Operators, IATO, a large association of travel trade in India, held an interactive luncheon in New Delhi, on March 19, marking the final luncheon with Rajiv Mehra as the President.

The Indian Association for Tour Operators, IATO organised an interactive luncheon meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday, marking the final luncheon with Rajiv Mehra as the President of IATO.

The meeting began with a welcome address by Mehra, who reflected on his four-year tenure as the President, sharing insights into the challenges he and IATO had faced during his leadership, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the growth and strides the association had made since then. He highlighted several key achievements, initiatives, and the collective efforts of the IATO members that contributed to the association’s success.

“With the efforts of all of you, we have crossed the figure of 2,000 members as of today. I am grateful to the Executive Committee for backing me in my endeavours and encouraging me in the service of your famed association,” Mehra said in his address.

Members of IATO Executive Committee, including Honourary Secretary Sanjay Razdan, Senior Vice President Rajnish Kaistha, Vice President Ravi Gosain and Immediate Past President Pronob Sarkar thanked Mehra for his leadership and outlined their vision of the association’s future direction and the tourism sector.

The event also featured an open house session, allowing IATO members to raise queries or offer feedback. Some of the members took the opportunity to commend IATO for its continuous efforts to address industry challenges and promote the interests of tour operators.
