Radisson Hotel Group (RHG), in partnership with Simon & Schuster India, the Indian division of the global American publishing house, hosted the fifth edition of its cultural event Literary Escapes.

Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) held the fifth edition of its cultural series, Literary Escapes, in Delhi on Monday. The event was organised in partnership with Simon & Schuster India, the Indian division of the global American publishing house, Simon & Schuster.

According to a press statement, over the years, Literary Escapes has hosted well-known authors like Vikas Swarup, Advaita Kala, Benyamin and Kasturi Mahanta.

This edition featured author, historian and cultural critic Rakshanda Jalil, known for books such as Liking Progress, Loving Change, A Rebel and Her Cause and Invisible City.

The statement adds each event turns select Radisson hotels in India into creative spaces, with book lounges, pop-up libraries, themed events, and discussions that connect literature with travel in engaging ways.

The event included a panel talk with Jalil, Chema Basterrechea, Radisson’s Global President, and Elizabeth Kuruvilla, Publishing Director of Simon & Schuster India. The discussion focused on the value of reading and introduced a new partnership aimed at making books more accessible for hotel guests, combining the experience of staying in a hotel with the joy of reading.
