International hospitality firm Radisson Hotel Group says it significantly enhanced its footprint in India last year by signing 21 new hotels.

With the objective of keeping pace with the rapidly growing Indian tourism market, multinational hospitality group Radisson Hotel Group opened 21 new properties in India.

In a press statement, the hotel group says it also added significantly to its over international portfolio by adding 30,000 keys in the year, reflecting nearly 50 pc increase since the launch of its 2018 transformation plan.

The hotel group adds that its brand has continued its position as the fastest-growing brand in the country and says it has two more properties in the pipeline with the hotel in Telangana’s capital Hyderabad expected to be operational by 2026 and Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir which would be operational in the current year itself.

Radisson Hotel group are opening one of the first internationally branded hotel in the historic city of Ayodhya.

It adds that it has secured 10 new properties with a focus on strategic expansion in tier-II and tier-III cities, including Raipur, Sonamarg, Sonipat, Vrindavan, Navi Mumbai, Dera Bassi, Kevadia, Jhansi, Ujjain and Vizag.

The statement adds that the Radisson Hotel Group stands as one of the leading international hotel operators in the Indian market, boasting over 165 hotels in operation and development. It holds the position of the largest hotel operator in tier I markets, such as Delhi NCR, while also maintaining a significant presence with more than 50 pc of its portfolio in tier II and III markets, where it has thrived as an early entrant.

With hotels strategically located across over 70 locations in India, the Radisson Hotel Group ensures a property within a 4-hour drivable distance, covering the entire expanse of the country. The statement adds that the diverse range of brands includes Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, and Park Inn by Radisson, Park Plaza, and Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Radisson Individuals, and its extension, Radisson Individuals Retreats.

Radisson Hotel Group also cites successful signing and opening of the first internationally branded hotel in the historic city of Ayodhya in Utter Pradesh Park Inn by Radisson Ayodhya.

Additionally, Radisson Resorts has gained prominence through Radisson Individuals Retreats, a brand extension catering to modern Indian travellers with experiential stays in key gateway cities and emerging destinations. Key signings include locations like Chail and Palchan in Himachal Pradesh, Mandrem in Goa, and a notable Radisson Blu Resort in Chevella, Hyderabad, says the company.
