A unique exhibition at the 23rd edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF 2017) is called ‘Look Through’.
Observed as an initiative to inspire young filmmakers and cinema students in the state and visitors from all over the world, the festival committee has come up with a special exhibition of cameras used by iconic filmmakers from Indian and abroad. The original equipment used by the masters such as the Lumiere Brothers, Satyajit Ray and Ritwik Ghatak is being showcased at the Gaganendra Pradarshansala, a venue at the show floor typically used for various exhibition.
The exhibition was inaugurated by UK filmmaker Michael Winterbottom and Indian filmmaker Prakash Jha.
