Views of Basar, Arunachal Pradesh
Resting in nature
We visited Basar recently where we explored its natural surroundings that met us with earthy shades and whispering trees.
Greens, browns and yellow make up the colours of Basar, a quaint region in northeastern Indian state Arunachal Pradesh. A slow pace of life of the tribe that inhabits this region, named Galo, is met with changing times and tastes. As of now, one can still observe the old ways being practised, though in a diminishing way.
Reaching here is a difficult task as roads leading up to this destination are quite under-developed. However, once here, one can spend time walking around the forest as well as several villages, ranging from Gori to Bam.
